Tubular is proud to have the world’s most extensive coverage of social video performance, thanks to our exclusive data from platforms, partnerships, and panels. While Tubular updates data frequently, it will not instantly reflect every view or engagement a video receives, so it is expected to see a slight variation in the counts shown in Tubular vs the social platforms. Generally, we recommend focusing on the direction of data, rather than on exact views or exact follower counts.
Another way that Tubular data is different from the platforms is proprietary metrics such as Tubular Video Ratings (TVRs) that show time-stamped performance data for the first days after a video is published. TVRs are a proprietary method of measuring video performance across platforms and time. The metrics are simple, standardized, and timestamped to allow you to benchmark and compare videos’ performance objectively, and especially useful to compare video performance against older content since videos accumulate views/engagements over time. TVR totals should not be compared to native analytics from the social platforms directly.
Additionally, Tubular provides up to three years of historical trends data, in addition to current lifetime totals for metrics like views and engagements.
