Video Intelligence is Tubular’s video database. It gives you a deeper dive into the performance of individual videos, videos published during certain time frames by one or more Creators, and videos around topics that you care about. You can conduct all of your video-level research here, on any slice of the social video universe.

Video Metrics
For a complete guide to the metrics used throughout Tubular's Intelligence Suite, including all available metrics within our Video Intelligence product, please refer to our Intelligence Metrics Glossary.
Video Search
The search bar is found at the top of the page. When you enter terms into the search bar, the software searches two things: The title of the video and/or the topics of the video. Directly beneath the search bar, click the 'search options' drop-down to additionally enable searching for video descriptions and/or video tags.
The search bar uses Boolean searching syntax, enabling you to broaden or narrow the scope of your search as needed. You can select the Search Help button directly below the search bar for an outline of Boolean search operators, pictured here:
Video Filters
Filters are found on the left-hand side and can be applied to help you surface the most relevant results. The filters update dynamically, meaning that the filters and the numbers alongside them will adjust depending on the current search results. You can continue to layer on filters in order to narrow down the search results to the exact talent you need.
- To Apply a Filter: Check the box to the left of the term
- To Exclude a Filter: Click the exclude icon (-) on the right that appears when you hover your mouse over the term.
- Always remember to click the 'Apply Filters' button after adjusting your selection:
Video Modal
Clicking on a video title will surface even more details in a Video Model pop-up, such as its Tubular Video Ratings and more performance metrics:
Video Insights
The Video Insights tab provides holistic insights across the results of your search, and updates dynamically along with your search. You will see how variables of performance dimensions such as Top Creators, Platforms Published On, Upload Day, and Duration are driving the success of your search results.
Click the Video Insights tab to see summarized macro social video performance in a single location. Video Insights will update based on the search terms and filters applied (make sure to hit “apply filters” to update your results).
Video Insights can be configured across metrics (ex. Views, Engagements per video), video and creator attributes (ex. Top Creators, Video Duration), and classifications (ex. Top Topics, Top Video Categories).
This feature illustrates how performance varies across several different dimensions so that you can have full confidence in your content decisions.
Trending
Trending is a feature in Tubular Intelligence that lets you evaluate the velocity of social video content by surfacing which creators, topics, hashtags, or video categories are outperforming the status quo.
Trending lets you quickly see what content is gaining or losing traction as compared to normal by surfacing what has performed notably different than a baseline average.
And since Trending uses the robust search and filter capabilities in Video Intelligence, you can focus on trends for videos with specific keywords, duration, creator type, etc. You can also use your custom video or creator lists to narrow your Trending results to show only the trends that are most relevant to you.
Trending is a premium product that is sold with Tubular Intelligence Plus. If your team would like to add this feature to your Tubular Labs software subscription, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or to the Technical Solutions team at support@tubularlabs.com.
Adding Videos to a List
Combine videos you are interested in analyzing on a regular basis (i.e., series or campaign) into a Video List:
- Select the video(s) by checking the box to the left of the video title.
- Click on the Manage dropdown menu and select "Add to a list." Create a new list, or select the list that you would like to add the video(s) to.
- To access the Video List, click the My Lists drop-down menu and select the list you would like to see.
Saving a Video Search
Save your search parameters so you can rerun your queries over time. This is most useful for running recurring queries, or to save you time when using very long boolean search strings.
If you’re satisfied with your saved search, you can also add it to a Dashboard to see historical performance data:
Exporting Video Data
To export your search results, click the Export button. You will then be able to select the type of export you would like to receive.
