Main Metrics
Affinity: The likelihood for the audience to take the specified action, as compared to the average viewer. 1.0x is average.
Audience Overlap: The percentage of audience who did the specified behavior within the. "Audience" is defined here as viewers, shoppers, searchers, or visitors.
Relevance Score: We recommend using this only to sort results, to display “relevant” results. Relevance Score is a calculation that balances for popularity and normalizes results for both very niche and extremely popular content. Calculated as Affinity x Overlap.
Market Share: The percentage of the market that is represented by the audience. Market is defined as all people who took the specified action within the timeframe. Ex. of all people who shopped for lipstick in the last 6 months (market), Beauty video viewers (audience) represent X%
Shopping Behaviors
- Consumer Insights measures online shopping behaviors for the world’s largest retailers including Amazon, Target, and Walmart
- Shopping behaviors include: viewing a product details page, adding a product to cart, purchasing a product, or leaving a review of a product. Note that we do not break out specific shopping activities.
- Consumer Insights can be used to inform social commerce decisions by helping determine what type of content influences shopping activity for a product, but it does not directly measure “Social Commerce,” which refers to transactions that take place within social platforms.
Keyword Search
Consumer Insights measures consumer search behaviors on popular search engines including Google, Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo.
Website Visitation
Consumer Insights measures website visitation. It allows you to isolate country specific websites (ex: bbc.com vs bbc.uk vs. bbc.de).
